To Peanut

Sat Nov 8, 2008, 5:54 AM
  • Mood: Tearful
  • Listening to: Silence
My hamster Peanut is dying. She can't open her eyes, and she has very limited movement, shes shaking T.T. I love her so much, and feel guilty about not spending enough time on her. She's nearly 3 years old though, and has had a good life. She was so sweet, and my mum's really upset.

Hamsters do not live long enough. She'll be gone in a few minutes, you just have to hope she won't suffer.

I'll miss you little one.

I'm so sorry for your (possibly pending) loss. Shall I assume a funeral service is in the planning stages now?

Yep. :( Tomorrow, I should really leave out some cheese for the Grim Squeaker shouldn't I? I'm just glad I got to hold her for a few minutes before she went.

:( Thanks for the kind words.

You're welcome, still sorry for your loss. It's always rough when you lose a pet.

Aww, true. It's the eyes as well, and she never bit me - not once! She was so cute, I may upload a pic of her sometime.

I'm so sorry, honey... Hamsters really don't live long enough. I loved my little guy, Pig, who would stuff his face full of food and then wonder why he couldn't fit up his tube, hence his name. I always felt I never spent enough time with him, too, so I think that's just a natural feeling when we're losing someone, so don't be too hard on yourself.

Sending prayers and well wishes both your ways. If it makes you feel better, you'll see her again someday.

Love,
Mandi
and in spirit, Pig
